Logo for Crossroad of VermontThe Crossroads of Vermont Byway follows Route 4 westward across the state from the Connecticut River Valley through the Green Mountains to the Valley of Vermont. In the Rutland Region, the byway will traverse Killington, Mendon, Rutland Town, Rutland City, Proctor, and West Rutland. The Crossroads of Vermont Byway is a joint project of Rutland Regional Planning Commission and Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission. The management plan was submitted to the Vermont Scenery Preservation Council in January 2011.
