West Rutland

West Rutland was a booming marble town in the quarrying heyday. Now it shows off in other ways. There’s a rich art scene in West Rutland, including the multinational talent and technique at the Marble Carving Studio. The Town Hall is second to none and has a beautiful second floor theatre, grand staircases and a balcony.  There’s a nature preserve with a boardwalk, Grandpa’s Knob, a bed and breakfast that caters to dogs, and there’s even company in town that makes lenses for the Hubble telescope! Go Westside! Green and gold pride!
