Rutland Regional Planning Commission and Come Alive Outside Announce Outdoor Survey
Rutland, VT – The Rutland Regional Planning Commission (RRPC), in partnership with Come Alive Outside, is excited to launch a new Outdoor Survey aimed at enhancing the community’s engagement with nature, outdoor spaces, and community assets.
Understanding Community Needs – This collaborative survey seeks to understand the local community’s relationship with outdoor activities as well as the built and natural environments. It focuses on identifying barriers to outdoor engagement, preferences in recreational activities, and the community’s use of local cultural, historical, and recreational sites. The survey will gather insights on safety concerns, accessibility issues, and technology use in outdoor settings.
Building a Healthier Community – The primary goal of this initiative is to use the survey findings to develop tools, programs. and policies that support a healthier, more active community in Rutland County. By understanding community needs and preferences, RRPC and Come Alive Outside can tailor their efforts to encourage more residents to enjoy and benefit from outdoor activities and make use of existing community assets.
